The Guides and Scouts HQ building in Pit Lane Ketton is managed by Ketton Guides and Scouts Supporters Association, a small committee of volunteers working closely with the Guide and Scout group leaders to provide a safe, clean, healthy environment for all Guides and Scouts activities in the village.
After 20 or more years’ service, some of these volunteers need to retire and so it is time to hand over to some new, energetic volunteers willing to take over the future of this fantastic facility.
We need a new Secretary to manage the hall booking system and organise the three or four trustee meetings per year. We need a new Treasurer to keep our financial records, administer the bank accounts, and manage annual bills for services and insurance. We also need a Hall Steward to help with some of the practical tasks around basic building maintenance.
The Scouts and Guides groups are thriving, they have wonderful facilities and the KGSSA is in good financial shape which means that the time commitment needed from you is small. But without volunteers to support the group leaders, the running of the building may be at risk.
What is needed is some fresh talent to keep it thriving. Will you be one of these volunteers?
