Ketton Walks

Ketton is blessed with many public and permissive footpaths, several of which are part of long-distance routes, such as the Hereward Way between Oakham and Thetford in Norfolk and the Jurassic Way between Stamford and Banbury in Oxfordshire.
These five walks around Ketton parish range from a short one mile walk around the village to a nine mile walk that passes through two neighbouring villages. They also pass through quarry, woodland, grassland, riverbank and farmed landscapes. So there are walks to suit all abilities, whatever the season or weather.

Ketton Rivers – Blue Route 2.7miles ( 4.3 km)

Ketton Quarry Nature Reserve – Green route 2.4 miles (4 km)

Ketton Village – Orange Route 1 mile (1.6 km)

Ketton Quarry and the Welland Valley – Red Route – 9 miles (14.5  km)

Ketton Quarry – Yellow Route – 4 miles ( 6.4 km)

Ketton Walks Leaflet

Ketton Healthy Walking Group was founded in 2009 and has just got bigger, and better, over the years, with an average of 50 people on most walks. The Group always walks at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon, usually from its Ketton Sports & Community Centre Headquarters, and once a month out of village, at a suitable location where refreshments can be obtained. The group offers a choice of two healthy walks, of approx 2 and 4 miles, with walk leaders available to supervise both walks. www.kettonsportscc.co.uk
