New Local Plan at Ketton Library

The New Rutland Local Plan: Ketton Library information events

Officers from Rutland County Council’s Planning Policy and Communications Teams will be at Ketton Library from 9.30am to 1.00pm on Wednesday 3rd August and Saturday 13th August to tell people how they can take part in the Issues & Options Consultation that is being held as part of the process to develop a new Rutland Local Plan. These are informal drop-in sessions, meaning you can come along at any point between 9.30am and 1.00pm.

There is no Local Plan, yet – not even in draft form. The Issues & Options Consultation that runs until 16 September 2022 asks for views on 12 key issues that will be addressed through the Plan, as well as seeking feedback on various different options for addressing these issues. This consultation does not identify any potential development sites.

The Consultation itself is being carried out online. Officers from the Council will be at the library to explain where to go to access the consultation, how to use the consultation platform and add people to the Council’s Local Plan Mailing List so they can receive updates at key points throughout the plan-making process.

There is nothing to display at this point in the Local Plan. However, officers will be giving out information that explains the Issues & Options stage. They can also take questions from residents and add these to the Council’s Local Plan FAQ, which will be updated regularly throughout.
